Pros

Fast, Easy money!!! Everyday cash for a struggling college student

Cons

all of the work you have to do before you leave. They also want you to give a speech before even getting your drink order

    I worked at Red Lobster full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    I had the opportunity to meet a lot of really cool people.

    Cons

    Upper management would micro manage their store managers. Most were not very qualified to run a restaurant and it seemed there was no coaching for them. It was all about the numbers and doing whatever it took to make sure the guest had nothing negative to say, even if it meant buying their entire check for the slightest complaint. And there were many complaints! Food was disgusting. They bragged about how they could cook a live lobster in less than 7 minutes with all of their microwaves,but the food still took 45 minutes for a complete order. Poorly run restaurant.

    Advice to Management

    I would look a little harder at your hiring/promoting practices for who you select to run your restaurants. Get the microwaves out of the kitchen and get to cooking.

    Pros

    was able to go home with money every day didnt have to wait on a check meet new interesting people every single day get to be the first to try new delicious dishes VERY flexible hours! Team work environment

    Cons

    you could get a wright up if someone decides to walk out even if its not entirely your fault. your tip is based on the dependability of the kitchen your guest may become upset with you as a server even if its not your fault that the food is taking to long.

    Advice to Management

    you can advance to management but it would take a while
