Pros

Red Robin provides a good environment for those interested in working in busy restaurant locations who deem customer service a priority. The company provides many systems and processes for support.

Cons

As in most restaurants, business volumes fluctuate daily and seasonally.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take time to more thoroughly understand and address changes to the business model and how the changes impact the employees and the customers (directly, indirectly, intended and unintended).

    It was a fun place to work for a high school job. The servers did not make enough money at all though.

    Pros

    The atmosphere was very laid back and the people that worked there all got along very well. It was a great high school job.

    Cons

    The managers were not willing to give time off, even when asked far in advance. Also, the employees did not get free food.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    I think it would be beneficial if the store managers tried harder to maintain good relationships with the employees, and cared more about requests they had.

    Pros

    Really clean, decent training but tedious, young people

    Cons

    Too many servers (barely get enough hours), hard to establish yourself among so many Servers that have been there for years (seniority is huge here, you don't get to work the busy nights that often because of the more experienced Servers have dibs), say your shift is 3-4 hours long.. you'll take tables for an hour and be "phased," meaning you have to clean up your section, finish silverware, etc. SUCKS! You spend more time cleaning and fixing things up in the back and rolling silverware than taking tables and it's only 2.13 an hour!!! SUCKED. I would avoid if possible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't make your servers do the busy work that the hostess should be doing like rolling silverware, filling up ice/glasses, etc.
