I have been working at Red Robin

Pros

One reason that I liked working at Red Robin was due to the management. They were very involved and always made sure they complimented me on any hard work they seen me do. They, along with a few other employees were very welcoming when I first started working there.

Cons

-very little hours
-little pay w/ slim chances of getting a raise
-fast paced
-dealing with bossy customers
-dealing with extremely whiny servers

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The servers and hostesses should not communicate whatsoever. It's a hassle to the hostesses

    incompetent management fearful of doing right by employees; unmet promises of work hours; sweat shop with no future.

    support your staff; admit your mistake instead of throwing minimum wage emploee under the bus. Grow a spine

    Pros

    -Paid above minimum wage at entry positions
    -Fun working environment most of the time
    -50% discount when eating by yourself, 20% when eating with a group

    Cons

    -VERY strict about following policies.
    (Wear buttons and name tag on shirt at all times, open the front door for all customers, black belt with shirt tucked in, only one piece of jewelry at a time, etc.)
    -At times, there can be hostility between the hospitality team (hosts & hostesses) and the servers.
    -Very busy on weekends (Usually around a 2-3 hour wait on Friday nights)
    -Many aspects of the restaurant are geared toward children, so prepare for crying and screaming.
    -Many of my requests for time off were either denied or forgotten.
