I have been working at Red Robin

Pros

Core Values, Co-workers, Energy, Food and the enjoyment of seeing the kids that started as servers and bussers grow into great managers!

Cons

Limited growth, Questionable Senior Mangement

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work can still be fun and exciting. We all have a job to do and while making money is important retaining the top talent is a must in order to use that experience to grow and enhance the current environment..

    I worked at Red Robin

    Pros

-Paid above minimum wage at entry positions
-Fun working environment most of the time
-50% discount when eating by yourself, 20% when eating with a group

    Cons

    -VERY strict about following policies.
(Wear buttons and name tag on shirt at all times, open the front door for all customers, black belt with shirt tucked in, only one piece of jewelry at a time, etc.)
-At times, there can be hostility between the hospitality team (hosts & hostesses) and the servers.
-Very busy on weekends (Usually around a 2-3 hour wait on Friday nights)
-Many aspects of the restaurant are geared toward children, so prepare for crying and screaming.
-Many of my requests for time off were either denied or forgotten.
