Former Employee - OUTSIDE SALES in Beloit, WI
Former Employee - OUTSIDE SALES in Beloit, WI

I worked at Regal Beloit

Pros

Organized and Financially Stable Company that won't be going out of business soon.

Cons

Very frugal and attention to their own pocketbook negatively affects the salaries of their employees. As an outside sales rep, RBC had gobbled up multiple companies, fired the reps in the area and gave those new product lines to one rep (without a pay raise)....this is smart business in order to cut cost but even a modest pay increase would have been fair since several hundred thousand dollars were saved when consolidating (eliminating reps)

Advice to ManagementAdvice

unfair treatment to employees and unfair business practices will continue to tarnish this companies reputation...

I have been working at Regal Beloit

    Pros

Facilities are mainly in small towns - good places to raise kids low cost of living. decent benefits - can earn up to 5 weeks of vacation if you hang around for a long time.

    Cons

they think a good cost savings is to limit raises and compensation of non managerial employees. Very high turn over. constant outsourcing of jobs to off shore aquisitions. hourly employees can be below poverty line wages after 5 years

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

hire some people. stop sending jobs overseas that can be done better in the US. Hire some people and pay them more than poverty wages to stop the turnover that is killing our business

Former Employee - Director of Manufacturing in Monterrey, Nuevo León (Mexico)

I worked at Regal Beloit full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

They have a very attractive logo.

    Cons

RBC is a house of cards using acquisition and cost cutting to project a profitable picture to the market. Staff talent has long left the building and the sins of the past are piling up. Executive team couldn't be more inbred and self serving. Within another 12 months there will be a cleaning house and hopefully some solid plans to right the ship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Enjoy yourself while you can, the street is coming to get you.
