I worked at Regal Entertainment full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Free Movies
    Free movie paraphernalia
Working with varied people and personalities
Get to do a lot of things and not boring
Fantastic health care benefits for FT managers
Four weeks of vacation after 5 years in FT postion

    Cons

    - Long Hours
    - Payroll control is out of control, They cut hours to save money and pay their CEO and higher ups a lot of money while paying staff minimum wage and don't provide healthcare to them.
    - Corporate office is extremely out of touch with reality
    - HR runs this company, so beware. One customer complaint and you have a high chance of being fired regardless if you actually did anything. Also, any complaints turn into some horrifying mirage of HR where everyone will end up getting investigated as the corporate office does it remotely and never gets to know the true situation.
    - Boys Club - In certain regions of the country, the only way to get to GM level is to fraternize with your DM/Corporate folks. If you are a female, your chances are pretty nill from being promoted to General Manager positions.
    - Company allows bullying to occur and won't do anything about it if it isn't the legal definition of "Hostile work environment"
-Lack of training to Management and staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work in the theatres one week a year to get a general feel. Actually talk to floor staff and hourly associates to get a real feel for how it is to work in the company versus the fake/schmoozy image you will get from GM's and DM's.
Have regional HR managers that actually work in the region so they can do the investigations themselves and can also keep an eye on troubled locations.

    I worked at Regal Entertainment

    Pros

Free movies! Free movies! Free Movies! And it's pretty laid back if you work as an usher or in the concession stand

    Cons

Rushes when a big movie comes out! Rude customers, but thats anywhere. When seniors get pissed about you not giving them a senior citizen discount that they didn't ask for and you didn't want to offend them by just giving it.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
