Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon – “A company on a downward spiral”

"They've all known each other since the good old days" is a true statement. I'm not so sure it applies levels above Director level, but it certainly could since they have one of the highest longevity working populations in the private sector in Oregon...hanging onto that retirement package. I was in management so I received the reports. Here's my biggest complaint, high wages for management who do not produce. If you want $72,000 a year as a supervisor to do absolutely nothing of value, this is the place for you. But remember, this is "your" health care dollars. The goal, don't rock the boat. But of course the CEO doesn't see it. Maybe he chooses to believe otherwise. I am very disappointed in the company's direction. Very top heavy on salaries for what really amounts to dog & pony shows. Been there, it's hard to take when you see the dollars spent in a single meeting to accomplish nothing of real substance. I'm not disgruntled, I'm disappointed in a company that was roots to corporate money suckers. You will be disappointed too if you have a soul.
