Good place to work if you want to learn how to be a teller.

Teller (Current Employee)
Saint Louis, MO

ProsIt is a good place to learn standard bank operating procedures and government standards for banking. It is a good place to learn cash handling and basic teller functionality. It is a large bank, but still has the feel of a small community bank.

ConsIt is very difficult to transfer or to advance from your current position. Current bank fees are high and customer dissatisfaction is becoming greater as fees increase, making it even harder to reach sales quotas.

Advice to Senior ManagementAllowing more room for advancement and growth would help teller become more focused on improving customer service and satisfaction. Also, robotic greetings and thank you's (when required at all times with each and every customer) make it difficult to be genuine and helpful in determining customer needs and making sales happen.

Decrease reporting and meeting to allow staff to focus on business development. Determine what… More
