I have been working at Regions Financial

Pros

Overall I would say the pay is very competitive in comparison to other financial institutions in this area. Management will do a great job in pushing you to your potential. They want you to succeed because it is a great reflection on them.

Cons

Sometimes it can seem that the incentive goal is just out of reach. Every quarter the goal is higher and harder to achieve.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

One thing that can definitely be improved is the training. It should be more interactive if the main portion of your training is going to be sitting at a computer.

    Pros

Pay is decent for a technology in the Greater Birmingham area.

    Cons

Not on the leading edge of technology. There are many instances where the company lags behind the financial industry and even further behind on the latest developments.

    I worked at Regions Financial

    Pros

Supporting junior management, Team Leaders are very involved in your performance, giving that their incentive is on the line. Fair incentive plan for associates, full time guaranteed, no Sundays and Saturday rotations. Never worked beyond 7 PM. Great sick time/vacation plan, and ten paid holidays. People are very friendly, lots of food given out... You will gain weight.

    Cons

Lack of research in the hiring process recently brings underqualified people, thus morale and conficence has been on the decline. Training is sufficient, but lacks a psychological side to it when it comes to dealing with irrate callers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand your employees' side of the situation. Better prepare employees to the changing banking environment.
