Pros

I hear the benefit packages are amazing (although as part-time I wasn't eligible).
Employees and management are all supportive, friendly, and professional.
Very accommodating to time-off requests, even for part-time staff.
The software they use is very simple and easy to use. There isn't a huge learning curve.

Cons

If you were hired for part-time, they want you to stay in part-time for 1 year before you can apply to full-time
No benefits for part-time employees

Advice to ManagementAdvice

All of my experience with management at Regions has been wonderful. Everyone is motivating, supportive, and friendly. Above all, this is the most professional group of managers I have ever had the fortune to work with.
Many financial institutions offer benefits to part-time employees. You are likely to have a higher retention of part-time employees if you become competitive in this way.

    I have been working at Regions Financial full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Hours are ok
    Coworkers were great

    Cons

    Pay is too little for what they expect you to do & the payouts are hard to obtain. The company says they care about employees & customers but their actions do not show this. Costs are cut In the wrong areas. Too much micromanaging and way too many meetings. They hire outside for management so there's no inside knowledge or promote people too soon. Having to work for your vacation time every year, instead of it being an earned benefit that belongs to you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase pay for all associates, especially the tellers. It just may attract a more loyal & dedicated employee. Really care about the customer & be more competitive in the local markets. Stop micromanaging & having so many meetings; the branches are already understaffed. Entrust & empower your employees to take care of the business & actually make decisions to benefit the customer. If you take care of your employee, they'll take care of you.

    Pros

    Good Benefits, ongoing competent training, good hours for banking

    Cons

    Upper Management seemed to be given to outside employees. Promotion from within was given to internal candidates but only up to a certain level. Transferring departments and moving to upper management was difficult even though they encourages you to do so. Company moving to a more micro managed approach for sales.
