Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago – “Was a good place, but patient care is suffering”
2 of 2 people found this helpfulPros
It was a great place when I joined. The focus was on patient care, and it remains a world renown hospital and a leader in rehabilitiation. There are people who have been there for their entire career and truly care about the mission and the patients. They did their best every day to keep the needs of patients in balance.
Cons
Pay is not competitive. They rely on their name to get employees and then work therapists and nurses until they quit. The focus seems to have shifted away from patient care and is all about research. That's why I left. I wanted to see the care for patients remain at the forefront.
