I have been working at Remington College full-time

Pros

The CS department is focused daily on working with graduates to find solid employment in their field of study. Team environment.

Cons

The economy makes it tough...a lot of competition for jobs.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend some time in CS...and maybe other departments as well. Get a feel for what it takes to find gainful employment for grads.

I worked at Remington College full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Steady paycheck if you aren't in sales.
    Comradery between employees.
Longer week days for half day Fridays.

    Cons

Each department has retention numbers they're trying to reach and it positions them against each other.
Everything based on keeping accreditation and getting as many students signed on as possible, even if college is not right for them.
Corporate office is not flexible with changes or suggestions on how to make things better.
Scare tactics to get kids to sign on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become more open with your employees about the workings of the company instead of waiting for them to find out themselves. Once they find out how things really work, chances of retention are diminished.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
