I have been working at Republic Airways full-time

Pros

Flight benefits on multiple carriers
Its bearable if you live in base

Cons

Contract is old
Morale is low
Everything/Everyone will get you fired so your constantly looking over your shoulder
-Even if a doctor tells you to call off you still get in trouble

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keeping morale low with a high turnover does more harm than good for a regional. If people dont like how you treat them it will show in their customer service.

    Great career, less-than-great company

I have been working at Republic Airways full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The pros of the company are just those of working for any airline - like cheap-to-free travel, some great overnights, and awesome coworkers. There's nothing specifically standout about this place in particular.

    Cons

It's hard to get wrapped up in a life-long career dream when, everywhere you turn, somebody's trying to make it more miserable for you.

What's not to like about flying around the country, flexible schedules and awesome coworkers?

Scheduling that treats you like crap, managers who look for ways to punish you, no support from the company in reigning in unreasonable passengers, too-short overnights, too-long duty days, either too-short-for-meal or too-long-to-be-real layovers between flights, inflexible management human resource practices, and a really tragic reserve process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

GET A CLUE! Your employees are tragically unhappy, and turnover reflects that. Try to find a way to make reserve more palatable and less punitive, try to be more flexible in scheduling, make the pay more equitable, and even without a union contract (which is way overdue for review/renewal), your employees would be the happiest on the planet.

I worked at Republic Airways full-time

    Pros

Initially I had an issue with them but now I have to say that they have learned from the lessons of getting rid of good Frontier employees and now understand the value of all.....they have seen the light!

    Cons

VERY top heavy, never promotions unless you are personal friends with an executive

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of hiring you know, promote more from within.....you're missing some great people. The vacation benefits are a joke. While yes the employee has flight benefits, the flights are never available!
