Pros

The sales positions allow for a pretty good work life balance. The weekly pay is also nice. Benefits are decent.

Cons

Highly political. Incompetent upper level management. Sub-par human resource managers. Horrible mileage reimbursement program. Outdated sales software/technology. Little emphasis on employee development. "Old Boy's Club" feel.

Advice to Senior Management

Micromanagement is the death of the sales force. You must place trust in your sales team when it comes to time management and responsibility. Put more emphasis in developing your sales force. And finally, don't drag out the hiring process... use a sense of urgency when it comes to basic HR/Payroll/Expensing issues.
