Republic has potential, but it lacks intelligent people and morale fiber

Operations Supervisor (Former Employee)
Denver, CO

I worked at Republic Services full-time for more than 3 years

ProsPay is competitive
Benefits package is decent

ConsNon-existent work/life balance
Do not operate ethically
Horrible HR department
High level of turnover from Corporate Exec to Driver
Social Cliques that make work uncomfortable

Advice to Senior ManagementI worked at 2 divisions, it was the exact same thing at both. Upper management needs to retain better talent and really evaluate the talent they have now. Unethical practices were rampant and when they were brought up, they were promptly swept under the rug. They need to establish a stronger work/life balance; demanding a 60 hour work week is not sustainable.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
