    I worked at ResCare part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    One week long, paid training.

    Cons

    Hard to get enough hours, I worked for them for 5 months and had to find something else because they were giving me 6h on average a week. The clients need much more professional staff because they were mostly severely mentally disabled individuals and I just felt like we are there to babysit. My supervisor had to work non stop to cover the often no shows. Very high turnover.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Don't hire people to work for you 6 hours a week and if they came here to work 20+. Put more thought into the training and don't sugar coat the actual nature of the work. Make more effort to come up with activities for the clients, like trips, parties, social gatherings etc. The culture of this company is dead, there is no standards to upkeep, just gossips and mean attitude.

    When the consumer accomplishes a goal.

    Cons

    you can become homeless with the salary and right now you do not get raises

    Start listening to your staff and stop making the staff liable for the consumers actions.
