Current Employee – been working at Research Foundation of State University New York

Pros – Low living standard in Buffalo. Okay benefits and helpful HR staff to answer questions. Some employee discounts for gym membership and etc.

Cons – Since it is a state university, the grant to pay research assistant only cover tuition stipend but not their miscellaneous fee. The university kept increasing the miscellaneous fee which makes it difficult for those with salary at mid 20K/ year.

Advice to Senior Management – Should waive some of the the useless miscellaneous fee for the research assistant who does not need or ever use the service.
