I have been working at Resources For Human Development full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Mostly patient/consumer centered and has a lot of great employees

Cons

A few people at the regional level tend to run the company with personal ambitions which includes witch hunting

Advice to Management

Visit programs and talk to the staff. Do surprise visits and interview staff away from the local managements especially in the NE region. The place is falling apart.

    Pros

The overtime tends to be the norm at RHD. The PTO is decent compared to other NPO organizations.

    Cons

The Bethlehem office has an alarming turn over rate of employees. The company has financial spending problems, which leads to staff lay--offs. The management of the company tend to hire "friends". The company has difficulty performing simple tasks on a daily basis.

    Advice to Management

Do not let supervisors hire friends as employees at residential sites. The company has to fix the spending problems of the residential sites. Company needs to make better hiring and residential decisions to protect employees of residential violence.
