I worked at Resources For Human Development

    Pros

Good supervision at many of their locations, important population to work with, strong behavioral theory, mini classes for any one.

    Cons

Lots of traveling, individual site are fairly unorganized, not much recognition for quality work, many opportunities for bad work to get unnoticed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More specific an individualized supervision, recognize your employees' strengths and weaknesses by actually talking with them. Help train skills please.

I have been working at Resources For Human Development

    Pros

Vacation benefits if you can actually take the time off.

    Cons

Upper management are narcissists. There isn't any free thinking within this organization. Most employees I spoke with are very unhappy working here. You feel like your being micro managed constantly. Management has issues with trusting employees in the positions they placed them in. Absolutely no respect from management. You are not seen as an individual here. Most employees feel the threat of becoming laid off, pushed to leave, or fear termination.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This is a non profit organization, as such respect the employees that make it all happen. Let employees placed in the position be free thinkers. Find a new CFO, as I see this as the biggest threat to the mission of RHD.
