I have been working at Rexnord full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Many opportunities to move within the various businesses, this is important since there's a good chance you won't like the first place you get hired into. The middle management team is frustrated at lack of leadership at upper levels and lower levels are frustrated at not seeing improvements in the work environment and upper management seems clueless to the poor culture and attitudes that are getting worse every day.

Cons

Company is too eager to hold off on replacing key positions as they become vacant, had high turnover recently, company doesn't seem to leverage its size well. Turning public will only make more focus on bean counting and less focus on making the right decisions for long term improvements.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Staff the business appropriately, leaving critical roles open to save money isn't really saving money

I worked at Rexnord full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great processes; great get-it-done attitude, amazing learning experience. The process for communicating Strategy is very well done, as is the process to allocate resources.

    Cons

No people development, not enough staff, aggressive-abusive management. There is little focus on fixing the problems, much focus on forcing through by throwing massive amounts of hours at problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the employees when they tell you that they are out of available time. Spend more time developing teaching tools and less time berating. Your turnover may drop to less than 20% per year.
