Pros

fun and easy job, pays great along with excellent benefits, depending on where you are relocated, you might end up in Alaska or Miami (No rhyme or reason as to why your being moved there or choices with other open territories)

Cons

The industry is declining rapidly, job cuts with continue along with less and less opportunity for advancement. LOTS of Politics with in the company!!

Advice to Management

Have your Resumes ready because this company will have massive layoffs in trade marketing with in the near future which accounts for 75 percent of RJ Reynolds budget along with 35% of their employees

    Pros

Some regions operate like a family, they make sure that all of their people are in a position to succeed.
    - Benefits
    - Car
    - People (Excluding Denver Team)
    - Bonus
    - Training

    Cons

These were my negative experiences working with the Denver Region:
    - No coaching
    - No positive feedback
    - Minimal Development
    - Incompetent Upper Management
    - Unrealistic Expectations from Upper Management
    - Have to be 100% mobile for promotions
    - Rule by fear
    - Micro-managing
    - (3 AM's in 3 months quit in 2011)

    Advice to Management

Take a look at some of the people you have in Region Director and Senior Management positions. My experience in other regions was much more positive than in Denver.

  2. Freedome to work alone but slow promotion opportunity.

    Pros

Company car and you basically make your own hours.

    Cons

While promotions are available there is no rhyme or reason to how they are handed out.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees at the bottom of the company, show loyalty and place them in a position to succeed and win.
