Reynolds American – “It all depends on your manager!”

over and over again there are comments about horrible management. I have had some unvelievable mentors. However, it only takes one bad apple and that is what happened to me. From day one she humiliated, berated me, and NEVER once had one positive thing to say. Would treat me as if I was a second class citizen. In front of others she would treat me like I was her best friend. As soon as we were alone, she would literally not speak to me and if she did she made statements like, "You were horrible", "I would be afraid if I was you". Would sit at a different table if we were out to lunch and not speak to me. Amazing that I had only good reviews, was promoted, and suddenly I was "horrible". The most concerning part is that you are helpless in a situation like this. The other division managers knew this was happening, told me how much they disliked this woman. I never once discussed her treatment to me because I didn't have to. Her counterparts and others who worked for her would constantly say things to me. Everyone would say, "hopefully she will get promoted and transferred" Pretty pathetic. She took my ideas as her own. They say they value their employees.
