Cons
No vacation for a year, and even then it's pro-rated based on how long you've been there. Example: if you're hired in October the next year you'll only have 2 vacation days. If you're hired in February then you'll go a whole year without vacation days but the next year you'll get the full 10.
No holiday pay for working overtime. Because during holiday weeks 40 hours haven't been worked yet you won't even get overtime for taking a call on the holiday much less holiday pay.
They say they want to be innovative and on the cutting edge but are at least 2 years behind their digital marketing competitors.
Those competitors are learning from tech companies and changing their company culture, but ReyRey is stuck in the 80's corporate style of treating people like machines.
They pay just enough more than anyone else in town that you're grateful but not enough that you could leave town or buy a house. Really in College Station they just abuse college students, or people just out of college who are waiting on someone, because they know they can get more cheap labor to replace you in a heartbeat.
So if you want a regular pay check they're not terrible, but there's no future here for anyone. Management is never going to change.
Advice to Senior Management
You need talented and dedicated people to push your company to the forefront of the industry. The way you keep talented people is by investing in them and treating them like people who are valuable not machines that can be replaced.
