Reynolds and Reynolds – “I wouldn't wish working here on my sworn enemy”
5 of 5 people found this helpfulPros
If you have no experience or little in terms of education, and you're just looking to get your foot in the door and put a company on your resume, this would be a place to work. If you have either of those, you're better off working elsewhere.
Cons
This is a company that will pay you the absolute minimum (well below the competitive rate), use you and overwork you, puts more value on length of service and 'yes-man' mentality and does not value individuality or ideas that don't come from Senior Management. At Reynolds and Reynolds, it's their way or the highway.
Advice to Senior Management
Look at some of the country's top businesses - Zappo's, Toyota, Wegman's, Valero... all of these companies inspire something special and a lot of pride in their employees. They don't do it by strong-arming their employees or beating the individual out of people, by fostering dissent amongst teammates, or by generating great ideas and enthusiasm from the top-down -- completely the opposite. Reynolds and Reynolds does everything wrong from a management perspective, and you can see this in spades at any company meeting, the monthly birthday party (with its Office Space-esque singing of Happy Birthday). This company is so very dated in its management, and the vertical car-dealer market is really the only reason it is still in business.
