Pros

Family enviornment
Lateral career opportunities
Employee responsibilities are tied to strategic goals

Cons

Expectations have increased so much that quality in work is decreasing in order to meet deadlines.
Work life balance is "encouraged" but is really difficult to maintain with the increased demands.

Advice to Management

Stay connected with employees to be able to retain those that are of value to the organization.

    Pros

On site day care; everyone is very friendly; pretty laid back; people have a sense of humor; it's ok to be yourself

    Cons

Private company so not a lot of advancement quickly, often seems ran by sales and marketing, re-organizations are tough on morale

    Advice to Management

Recognize the little people - even a thank you goes a long way to know that you appreciate them. Try to understand the nuts and bolts that make the business run everyday
