I have been working at Ricoh Americas Corporation full-time for more than a year

Pros

+ Great manager
+ Flexible schedule, freedom to do your job
+ Backend support for orders and solution design is good
+ Exceptional service techs who know exactly what they are doing
+ Commission on used machines/services/software is very good

Cons

- Base salary will be what you survive on for at least 3-4 months
- Gas reimbursement ($200/mo) is a joke when you spend $350-$500
- Transition to services-led company is under-supported
- Commission on new devices is awful
- Requirements for account executives revolve around information being poured into Salesforce, failure to do so results in unending "conversation" about activity
- Getting rejected (part of sales obviously) on a daily basis in a saturated market

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus efforts more on driving sales through encouragement and contests that aren't a joke. Spreading 1 iPad or $1000 across 5000 reps isn't really a sales contest. Understand that yes, activity drives sales, but more importantly that happy reps who are properly incentivized and encouraged will ultimately grow the business more than an unhappy sales force pushing numbers into a CRM system.

I have been working at Ricoh Americas Corporation full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

None to report at this time.

    Cons

The CEO Martin Brodigan should fire himself for sending RICOH further into the ditch
with his so-called Transformation Realignment program which basically means firing a bunch of people because he hasn't figured out how to be profitable without messing up people's lives.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave RICOH and do something more menaingful in your life then to support an untrustworty comapny that doesn't derserve anyone's loyality.

I have been working at Ricoh Americas Corporation full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Ricoh, a fortune 200 company, that has much to offer in the technology sector. As a technician, there are many levels of support that are in place to assist. In addition, the company is a big supporter of training and educating their technicians

    Cons

Areas of opportunity to grow with in the company are not in abundance in the technical arena.
