Pros

Good place to make a descent living but don't plan on having a life. Salary employees are used in place of hourly positions without compensation.

Cons

Upper management has a lack of respect for the people outside of the office who do the work, major change from 4-5 years ago. The new management talk slot about ethics but try to force people to do things otherwise when it suits them.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to manage rather than micro manage and abusing the people who actually perform the work. Get to know the employees like past management and learn who the people are who actually perform the work rather than the ones who proclaim the are always busy.

    I worked at Rieth-Riley full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I would agree with the other reviewers that the wage was adequate for the position. Their ESOP retirement plan is unmatched assuming it retains its value and you stay long enough to be full vested. Usually enough to keep you busy throughout the entire day even if some of it was busy work. Adequate benefits including healthcare and vacation.

    Cons

The management has to be the worst part of Rieth-Riley. If you at all raise a question about something you think is wrong, might as well pack your bags. Married couples in management in the same department should never happen. Have a family? Not now, because you are expected to work 60 to 70 hrs a week. Want to plan for the weekend? Forget it, you can't plan anything since scheduling is a nightmare. Want to move up? Better have a degree because you are stuck where you are at if you don't. You also better know somebody in the company to get hired. If you don't, you are then the first to be let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees, they actually may know more then you think. Keep married people out of the same department.
