I worked at RingCentral full-time for more than a year

Pros

Great location. If you're Russian, the company works for you.

Cons

Free food tastes the same. They give you food to keep you in the office. No diversity here at all. Executive Team Sucks totally!!!! NO HR structure. Unfair hiring and promotion practices. The interview process takes too long and questions are very unprofessional. Work environment doesn't promote fun, looks drabby.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your acts together.....Look at what will make your company succeed which is Employee Promotions. Stop bringing in your friends to make it work. Also, stop speaking so much Russian in open forums and by all means STOP BEING SO RUDE!!!!!!

I have been working at RingCentral full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great product in theory, free food and coffee/soda, some good people in low places

    Cons

Place changes direction monthly. Never any solutions just patchwork cover ups to problems. Wants to sell to large customers but has no real product solution for them. Aimlessly trying to match features with no real goal other than revenue. No 401k matching and constant scapegoating really getting tiresome. New batch of VP's have nothing to offer, just bringing in old friends to protect and shield them. Such a crazy place to work, many quit after one year when they realize the emperor has no clothes. Sales goals are misleading and customer support is outsourced, so good luck keeping any sales you make. More politics than DC. No hr and spin is all you will be fed. Sexist management is sickening at times especially at the highest levels.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the customers, fix the products based on what a customer actually want, and provide some direction and stick to it for more than a week. Take a long hard look at what keeps going wrong and realize you have caused the problems with poor decisions over and over. When you announce new hires and no one cares, should tell you that your new hires are not very good despite the resume.

I worked at RingCentral full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The product itself is actually really good.

    Cons

Very closed minded and fear based leadership. Many of the processes are very dated yet any attempt to change anything leads to pushback for fear of upsetting upper management. My direct VP completely disagreed with the direction his boss wanted our group to go but was afraid to say so. It's almost the anti-Silicon Valley mindset here.
Culture is very dry. They try to make it fun but it seems like a company trying to do something that they don't really understand.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower the employees to do the right thing. Quit ruling by fear.
