I have been working at Rio Tinto Minerals full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Onsite training allows for personal growth within the company. Good safety policies that are enforced in order to help save lives. Good union that supports its members. Clean work environment. Quality co-workers.

    Cons

Dissemination of information is lacking. Not a lot of vacation until you have been with the company for almost 10 years. Typical adjustments of being a smaller entity within a larger corporation that is trying to reduce.

Proper dissemination of information will help to keep the rumor mill low and morale high.
