I worked at Rite Aid as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

Great Nextgen system and good people. I received a scholarship and then was offered a summer internship at $17 an hour. The pay was not as competitive as Kaiser but they were very flexible with my schedule. The company is running out of money so my hours were limited to 350 for the summer. However, that was back in 201. The industry is struggling even more due to health reform and reimbursement but still a good summer internship from a community pharmacy setting. Wealthy clientele.

Cons

Company is falling behind against CVS And Walgreen since bleeding cash and bad upper management

I have been working at Rite Aid

    Pros

I work with great people in the pharmacy and they helped to work with my schedule while i was in school full time and worked full time. On the store level everyone worked hard with the resources they had.

    Cons

Above the store level these people are idiots. I was robbed at gunpoint and the district loss and prevention manager said we got robbed because we had bad customer service? Idiot!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The key to successful business is not cutting payroll its boosting employee morale. This is shown again and again. Thats why they have been losing money for so many years...

I have been working at Rite Aid full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Absolutely nothing good to say. Attitudes and morales are terrible.

    Cons

No staff in the stores, can't compete with Walmart on front end prices, long pharmacy waits. Zero upward mobility/growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find some talent to run your field ops. RVPs and DMs are a joke.
