I have been working at Rite Aid full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If your lucky you'll get to work in a good store.
The associate discount is nice when you need to purchase something.

    Cons

The pay is way below the hard work you put into a shift.
You will be short staffed to the point where you just can't get all the work done.
District management constantly wants to cut and cut and cut your hours to the point of having a paper thin staff and not seem to care one bit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your store employees a little bit more and give them some credit for the hard work they do. Cutting hours and treating them like garbage is not the answer. This just causes us to not care and just go elsewhere for a job.

almost no time to think of patient's care. the pharmacy seemed just a business.

I worked at Rite Aid full-time for less than a year

    Pros

they have very excellent computer system. pharmacist can pick up extra hours for extra money by working from other rite aid stores.

    Cons

no schedule flexibility at all. no discussions at all about work schedules.the company is dependent on solely prescription volume. a pharmacist's license is in jeopardy by having to keep overriding drug interactions without thinking about it carefully.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

upper management people focus on only sales, even though they seem to emphasize to employees about excellent customer services. so they don't care about a comfortable and enjoyable teamwork inside a pharmacy which are affected by the pharmacy manager's personality, as long as the pharmacy sales seem to be increased. I am sure a good teamwork by a manager makes each team member feel like working there forever and more productive.
