I worked at Rite Aid full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some of the people you work with are lifetime friends.

    Cons

Some of the people you work with are favored by upper management. A lot of back-stabbing and makes it difficult to do your job which is hard enough because there is never enough staff, Poor training. Human Resources too corporate to really know what's going on half the time. Very punitive company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training! and then more training!! More staffing.

    I worked at Rite Aid

    Pros

There are a handful of really nice pharmacists who are great at what they do and are wonderful to their technicians, which makes the job a little more bearable.

    Cons

They pay their technicians horribly and expect a ton from them. They will offer raises and time off and will not follow through, or will find a way to mess up your hours and pay. There is little to no incentive to work hard and create high metrics and as a result there is a high turnover for technicians. Technicians who work 11 or 12 hour shifts have been told they are not allowed to have a small snack or water in the pharmacy. Corporate rarely listens to the complaints of its employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have some sympathy and consideration before implementing new rules. Pay your employees as if they mean something to you.
