Pros

The Ritz successfully hires quality of character first and employment skills second.

Cons

Nothing negative to say, except I believe the Ritz is taking a back seat to the Four Seasons.

    I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Corporate theory of what should be is awesome.the level of service is great but that dedication should move towards line employees as well.

    Cons

Reality is not corporate theory. There are obvious bias which should be noticed. There should never be an internal email asking you to refrain from commenting on racism regarding guests or employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't assume the entire hotel runs well because it appears to. Ask open questions on the employee engagement survey. Allowing employees to write what they feel is their work reality may curb turnover be it voluntary or otherwise.
