Great company to work for, great growth potential

I worked at Ritz-Carlton (more than 5 years)

Pros

Great growth potential both within RC and across brands, still the best luxury hotel provider in the world. A lot of great people to work with.

Cons

Culture isn't the same post-recession, management levels vastly reduced, a lot more integration with Marriott at a corporate level.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always stay true to what made RC successful. While driving for better is financial performance is key, guests notice everything.

    I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Focus in Customer Experience and Excellent product and services. Is the reference is Luxury Customer Service.

    Cons

First you have to really believe what they are teaching you and after you have to be strong enough to implement and do what you have learned.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Unfortunately, the greatest difficulties are found within the organization. If you handle the teams, for example through surveys, there is no excuse to stop doing them, even if there is an international crisis. Consistency in procedures, Credo, Employee Promise, etc. must always be fulfilled and supervised to really believe in what they teach you.
