I worked at Ritz-Carlton full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Great money, flexible schedule to go to school or see your kids.

Cons

You will work all holidays and have to take your vacations in the off season.

Advice to Management

Ask the people who have been there for years for advice and really take it into consideration. They will be there working the same job long after upper management has moved on to another job.

I worked at Ritz-Carlton as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good $$$. Looks good on your resume and the discounted hotel rates are the best in the industry.

    Cons

The " pep rally" or orientation is more hype than anything else. In all fairness thou it could have been just my location but my trainer was very jostle and did not like me or most others and had a very " cantankerous " additude towards fellow employees. When I approached management they said they were aware of the problem but not much they could do. Said to take it to hr. HR keeper putting off the meeting till I just gave up. Lots of favorism amongst fellow old time employeees but new hires went through a boot camp which most of us new hires just left the company with a disgusted see ya. Sad.

    Advice to Management

You know who the " bad apples" are. Get them out before the whole basket rots.
