I have been working at Riverview Hospital

Pros – Family feeling, good quality of care, focus on quality, generous benefit package. Small size gives opportunity for cross training and skills development.

Cons – Many employees have worked there a long time, particularly in patient care areas. What this means is they have no idea of how things work other places. PTO was a huge issue, even though just about every other place has it., for example. Any change, minor or major, is a huge deal.

Advice to Senior Management – Recognize that turnover isn't always a bad thing. You are losing good, young people who are frustrated by the entrenched, non-changing old guard.
