I worked at Roadrunner Transportation Systems part-time

    Pros

very decent starting wages. The dock workers were very easy to get along with as well as the other employees.

    Cons

The graveyard shift kind of sucks but you get used to it after awhile. it is a little inconsistent as far as the tart times go. they say they'll take you back if you "leave on good terms" and put in a two weeks notice but they do and they keep you as part time so as not to pay out the benefits and pto and things of that nature

    Advice to Management

stick to your word and take care of the employees that put forth the effort.

  2. Not a bad job if it's right for you.

I have been working at Roadrunner Transportation Systems (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hours flexibility after getting to know managers, good pay for entry level positions, vacation time, PTO. I was able to finish my college degree while working here full time.

    Cons

Working on the dock can be really dirty, Also you might have to work night shift as I did which can really be detrimental to you social life.

    Advice to Management

You should spend more time on training these young guys with very little experience. I was 19 years old and new nothing about the trucking industry and so much was expected of me after a few short weeks. I was able to figure it out but a lot of the time nothing was ever enough.
