    beautiful campus
    nice offices
    competitive salary in low-income area (which allows you to live comfortably with your salary)
    good health care benefits
    good overall benefits
    located in nice area for outdoors activities
    aiming to improve their rating

    Cons

    hierarchical structures
    male dominated administrative and departmental leadership
    few women in key administrative and departmental leadership positions
    limited departmental communication
    junior faculty have no say (you have to be quiet until you reach tenure)
    non-diverse faculty body (few international and minority faculty members)
    non-diverse student body
    little support for research
    senior faculty members who do not pursue any research and discourage the research of junior faculty members (you have to hide your research accomplishments)
    anti-intellectual
    culturally conservative
    non acceptance of difference

    Advice to Management

    provide more research support for junior faculty; try to recruit a more diverse student and faculty body; unmask hierarchical structures, offer more support for non-traditional faculty members
