    Pros

    Read cons first:
I agree there might be a middle side as well, if you get that kind of work, you are truly lucky.

    Cons

Balance tipped on one side: There are a few hot and lively projects in Bosch. The work-load is so much that you are forced to work more than 11 hours a day, and work on Saturdays, and even some Sundays as well. Top management calls a meeting and orders developers to work on weekends. If you leave office before sunset, you are seen as an irresponsible person, and one who is not serious on the project. If you are leaving office at 10pm, beware, management may ask you to solve an issue right now, and they would not care if you have a small kid at home. Even married women are not spared. Clown male managers show their disapproval if married women (or for that matter, anyone) go early. Even one or two days leave for a valid reason if you apply, they will frown and many a times they will not approve. And the motive for all this is money and money alone, both for Bosch, and for the client. One client/customer is like a kamikaze pilot (of World War II fame), whose only aim is to attack the naval vessel (employee), for the sole purpose of money. I know persons from other areas/departments as well, and most of the time it’s useless work forced to do for long hours.

The other side: There will be no work for weeks and months together, sometimes only documentation. As clocking 9 hours a day is compulsory, people will only be eating and chatting, and they think it is work-life balance!

It is for the reader to contemplate whether, just to tell some random person that you are employed, you want to join Bosch. Better be patient and try for some other company. If you are a motivated fresher, better try off-campus for a good company. And I don’t think I have to mention about the salaries being given here, as compared to other companies.
