Nice people at the firm but horrible compensation - talent is not always up to industry standard given this dynamic.

I have been working at Robert W. Baird & Co. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Baird generally has a friendly employee base. The long tenure of some employees is both a good thing/bad thing - management is not always effective about managing out talent given nepotism remains healthy in the company head quarters.

    Cons

Brand not known well outside of Milwaukee
    Compensation well below industry average
Management tends to have a myopic view of the world given the midwestern (versus global) emphasis

I have been working at Robert W. Baird & Co. as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Laid back culture, active and engaging intern activities, supervisors interested in your professional development. I really like the culture and values of this organization.

    Cons

Pay was ok, not great but ok. I guess since it was an internship, I should be happy I was paid.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the internship program growing as it is. The internship presentation, volunteer activities, socials, etc help develop intern's professional network and skills.
