    I worked at Robert Walters full-time

    Pros

    Good training ground for those who are new to recruitment
    good working environment; if you do not have a family; no friends; no loveones; nothing better career to get into

    Cons

    staff is treated as a company furniture; no life; no room for creativity;
    staff comes and switches on their robotic monotonous life; every single seconds you have to please your upper management; no value for work but have to think of upper management, i.e. AD, MD, and above
    > this is the company where you do not have to think, just deliver them the numbers, per seconds, per day, per week...
    > KPI is more important than revenues

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    you know what is going on, admit it... its about time to value your staff as "human beings" and not your kind of furniture or property

    I worked at Robert Walters

    Pros

    If you hit or exceed your targets- you can earn comission. Great work life balance.

    Cons

    Can be quite tedious depending on the market- mine was not developed at all. The job was sold to me as if there would be a lot of big clients etc- in reality there was only one or two. I was cold calling at least twice a week, adding new contacts to the system and sending speculative CV's all day. Boring role- and tough market. I learned all I had to learn in 3 months- after that its just pure luck, hoping that the CV you chose to send to a person would be noticed.... if you don't hit financial targets, you will be sacked so be wary

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
