Advice to ManagementAdvice

as you grow, maintain the open atmosphere of the all-hands mtgs, the connection to employees on the lower rungs and the "excellence through self-examination and correction" which has been evident at all-hands.

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Redwood Shores, CA

    Pros

    - Fast growth and relative job security
    - Lot of opportunity to work on different things
    - People are generally smart and willing to help (there are notable exceptions)

    Cons

    - The fast growth means that the company politics are also increasing at the same rate
    - People are encouraged to take on a lot of things, but not necessarily encouraged to take a measured and strategic approach, or to communicate work properly
    - People are encouraged to work 7 days a week, '24 hours a day'
    - There are definitely groups within the company that are not willing to work well with other groups

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't let the politics get out of control. There are already politics and egos that are much more in line with a several thousand person company, not a 200 person one.

    Pros

Great support, smart people, everyone is accountable. It's good to work for a cutting edge technology provider in digital advertising.

    Cons

Still a younger start up so name recognition is still a work in progress. Hard when your competitors have been a main staple in the industry for a few more years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be clear about this amount of travel up front, was a bit surprised when I started that I would be gone my first three weeks on the road.
