I worked at Rockwell Automation

Pros

Flexible work schedule
Work is pretty much straightforward every day
company culture is strong
teamwork is highly recommended
Some management relate well to employees

Cons

Some management play favorites
Management doesn't take too kindly on employee solutions
unfair compensation structure (changed)
changes always came with little to no warning

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to employees more than management, who work upstairs. Sometimes the employees on the ground may have a workable short-term (or long-term) solution.

I have been working at Rockwell Automation

    Pros

One of the well knows companies in the Milwaukee area.

    Cons

Department managers are the biggest problem in some cases.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some of the department managers do not know how to manage people.

    I worked at Rockwell Automation

    Pros

A lot of good people still working there. A lot like the passangers on the doomed Titantic.
    Decent enough salary
    Low pressure job

    Cons

Senior operations leadership (Sr VP, VP, Directors) is mostly GE or Delphi. Hard to get promoted when they constantly hire outside people from these 2 "Great Performing" organizations.
Little to zero product or customer knowledge within the operations leadership, and this is reflected in the poor decision / performance of the manufacturing plants
Most production has moved off shore to low cost manufacturing
New Product Introduction has almost ground to a hallt because operations can't play nice with the engineering and business side of Rockwell
Little to no incentive to excel
Benefits getting cut almost every year

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They've destroyed a well run business, and forced out a lot of people who cared about the company. Now all that's left is "yes men" who know next to nothing about how to run an industrial automation company.
