Pros

The students are the only reason why this job is enjoyable.

Cons

Management is terrible throughout the departments. Stuck in a union that protects the bad workers. Poor communication.

Advice to Management

Need to improve training, whether through tuition reimbursement at other Universities (as there is little offered here) or other ways to receive training. Higher better managers.

    Pros

Enjoyed getting to know staff, faculty, and students at RWU. There were professional development opportunities and potential for growth there.

    Cons

Lack of diversity in student body.

    Advice to Management

There are many areas with growth potential for the university. Focus on quality, not quantity.

    Pros

Roger Williams always gave the opportunity to connect and develop a relationship with your supervisor(s).

    Cons

Because of the politics of a small, liberal, University, do not expect to move up in management unless you make the "right" connections. Also, the more money you personally have, the more likely you're going to make the "right" connections. A lot of interviewees are judged by their clothing, if you do not wear the correct brands, you will not get the job.
