Pros

Free phones, Discounts. That's really about it. Oh and the benefits (health, dental). It was great to have all those start from day one.

Cons

Lack of leadership, Idiots for trainers, Misinformation, ZERO consistency

Advice to Management

Stop hiring incompetent people to do training, as well as worthless team managers. They don't all know how to do their job!

    Pros

    - Some really good people - An interesting place to work if you don't mind working in an industry that is changing rapidly and radically - It's possible to do new things and learn new skills - It can be good to have Rogers on your resume - Decent benefits

    Cons

    - Management doesn't appear to have a clear sense of where the company is going - Management seems to have no interest in quality of products, only interested in getting something out the door by a specific date (probably related to management bonuses) - Management doesn't seem to care that customers hate the company - Nepotism and favoritism are rampant, including the selection of outside vendors - Takes forever to get projects started due to constant flip flopping on product direction - Employees are treated as disposable - No professional development - Perception in the trenches it that there is a lot of fighting for power at the executive level which is creating chaos.

    Advice to Management

    - Learn to care about the quality of Rogers products. - Commit the resources that are needed to build good products. - Stop forcing projects to fit within arbitrary short deadlines. - Don't put a mess in market just to say that you have something out there. - It isn't 1990 anymore - you only get one shot with a new product so it has to better be good. These days you have a very limited window to hook people. Once they leave they are never coming back. - Your customers don't like you. They will leave as soon as it is easy to do so. Learn to care and do something to change it!

    With so many positions being reduced with closures, job security is not what it once was.

    Questioning why some managers were not at least given option for buyout
