Former Employee - Store Manager in Toronto, ON (Canada)

I worked at Rogers Communications full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - as a salesperson, if you are in a high volume location you have the potential to make anywhere from $40000 to $55000 a year
    - as a manager, you will have an experienced, passionate and hard-working peerage to work with
    - lots of tools and support for self-development

    Cons

    - lack of opportunities in retail to put self-development in use; ie. moving into a position above your own
    - salespersons have made more than their managers
    - senior management seem to have a culture of disengagement via lack of communication
    - communication tends to be more directive than interactive
    - few positions that do open up are typically filled externally than internally

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
