Electronic Monitoring System

Retail Sales Merchandiser (Former Employee)

ProsLots of time off
Independence- work mostly by yourself- once a month supervisor visits

ConsTied down to your handheld - Must record your schedule in advance- Its very hard to rework your schedule if you decide to go somewhere else due to a store need or road construction. I liked it much easier before the handhelds when you are free to go to any stores you decided to go to that day. The handhelds record when you enter a store, when you leave, how much product is there. It is very intrusive to getting the actual job done, which is make time to shat with the produce manager- which is what they preach to you about all the time "building relationships."

Advice to Senior ManagementMake the supervisors more accountable to how much time they spend in the field with the merchandisers. My supervisor rescheduled with me at least 4 times, hadn't seen her for over 6 months. Increase the bonus opportunities - $50 or $100 wasn't that much of a reward.

Interesting experience in a privately held organization

Manager (Former Employee) Los Angeles, CA

I worked at Roll Global full-time for more than a year

Pros: Opportunity to work with *very* intelligent people, most people there are quite nice and friendly, pretty good benefits (such as Krav Maga for… Cons: Roll seems to turn over a lot of people, and it appears like a lot of people are simply trying not to get fired. Politics… Advice to Senior Management: Not really any advice for management...they wouldn't listen anyway. No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
