A 'nice' company that struggles with IT, poor communication and the ability to change quickly

Human Resources Professional (Current Employee) Derby, England (UK)

ProsStrong Brand (although most people still think we make cars... we don't)
Great graduate program
A lot of really great people work there
Very supportive of progression (although the reality/opportunity is often less forthcoming)

ConsA comfortable environment for 'plodders' - poor at managing low performers out of the business
Lack of dynamism
Outdated IT and systems
Too much bureaucracy
Old fashioned and ‘who you know’ culture
Derby-centric

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    International Experience with Rolls-Royce

    (Current Employee) Derby, England (UK)

I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than a year

Pros: - Supportive and dedicated managers with strong technical expertise. Ideal place for those who want to build technical breadth and their careers, particularly within Engineering -… Cons: - Remuneration may not be as attractive as competitors in the same field, however I think the global exposure and development opportunities offered makes up… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
