I worked at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Learned how to work cohesively with engineers

    Cons

Training for the position was very limited; dealing with HR was like pulling teeth!

Great Pay but work can be unfulfilling

I have been working at Rolls-Royce full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great Pay, great PTO allowance, having Rolls-Royce on your shirt/hat/jacket/business card really impresses people; it feels good to tell people that you work for ROLLS ROYCE

    Cons

Depending on where you are in the organization, the work may not be as fulfilling and state of the art as what might be assumed by someone outside the company; the name and logo can be more impressive than the work; IT in Indy is 5-10 years behind the rest of the solar system, and that's after a major set of upgrades (maybe saving money on IT keeps layoffs to a minimum?)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Indy management needs to be reminded that the old Allison company knew how to make some kick-ass engines before Rolls bought the plant; perhaps not all of the old Indy procedures and methods are inferior to the Derby way?

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
