Current Employee – been working at Rooms To Go
Pros – awesome benefits. great if you are a college student and don't have to manage anything else out side of work other then spending pay check on parties. flexible schedule. pay is a little higher than minimum. personal paid time off is good. vacations only after 6 months is great. lots of discounts to be used outside of rooms to go like on cell phone services and vacations.
Cons – don't know what your schedule is until Saturday. Only schedule one week out at a time. Schedule is all over the place. May have to close one night and open the next morning. Ask for a certain day off then don't get it with out reminding them. Changes out management so once you get used to one manager, the very next day they are moved to a new store and you get a new manager. Store managers are unapproachable.
Advice to Senior Management – Consistency. Make schedules out at least one month in advance so people don't can have a life outside rooms to go. don't make one person work until late one night and then have to be there bright and early the next morning especially if the commute to work is an hour long. don't make one person work 8 days off in a row before having a day off.
